核膜／核包膜：包围真核细胞细胞核的双层膜结构，将细胞核与细胞质分隔开；其上分布有核孔复合体，负责蛋白质与RNA等分子的进出（在生物学语境中最常用）。也常称 nuclear membrane（核膜），但 nuclear envelope 更强调“双层膜+核孔等整体结构”。
